Check out this great seller! She has some great, unique items!
1. Tell us a little about you and your shop:
I'm a stay at home mom to my beautiful 13 yr old daughter, happily REmarried to a wonderful man. I love fine wine with dinner, hot coffee while camping, sweet tea on the porch swing and an ice cold beer during hockey/football games! I grew up on a farm and still live in the country-which I love! I am happiest when I'm surrounded by all things 'nature'.
2. Are you a full time crafter? What else do you do?
I've just recently become fortunate enough to quit working and stay at home after having jobs in a WIDE variety of fields: retail/management/health care/special education assistance...pretty much everything outside of food service and clothing! I always enjoyed being 'creative' and am thrilled that I can now focus so much more time/energy towards it. My goal IS to make it my 'full time job'....everybody should have a career doing what they love most afterall!
3. What is your favorite item in your shop?
hmmmm.......that's really tough! All of my items are one of a kind and cover a WIDE array of "departments". With no two being alike, it would be like trying to choose a favorite child! LOL
4. How did you get into this business?
Well, actually I got into the woodburning when a coworkers husband was building a gun cabinet and wanted a deer scene burnt into the top hutch. Well, I'd never drawn a deer at that point and I'd CERTAINLY never used a woodburner! But he convinced me to try it out on a piece of scrap wood...and I feel in love w/burning! The cabinet was BEAUTIFUL! So I started burning just for fun, embellishing things around the home. Eventually I tried my hand at participating in a local Christmas craft show doing only wooden ornaments that I'd personalize on-site....I was the LAST one to close up that day! I was SOOO busy, I thought my hand would fall off! NOW, I'm trying to do it on a more "my time" schedule and at my own pace. (Although I still participate in many local shows! I guess I'm a glutton for punishment!)
5. Anything new and exciting we should look for?
Right now I'm working on TONS of Holiday items so that I can add a "Christmas" section to my shop. Fall/Winter is my FAVORITE time of year and that which ispires me most...it all just seems to go w/the wood! I'll be adding wooden toys, decorative slieghs, home decor, ornaments, bath and body---all of which will offer personalization.
